Thoughts from Dr. Clancy: Smile
Many people visit our office because of their smile. It may be to keep a great smile healthy. Sometimes is to repair a broken smile. At our office, we often improve the cosmetic appearance of someone’s smile.
Occasionally, we can also bring out someone’s inner smile through building relationships and trust. Smiling relaxes the facial muscles and calms the nervous system, and it can send a friendly signal that usually results in the other person smiling back. When we are feeling great, a smile comes naturally to many of us. The harder task is having the discipline to smile when we are sad or upset. However, if we can smile when upset, it can change our mood for the better. Sharing a smile can also help improve the mood of the people around us.
If we can help someone smile more, then it is a gift to many.
Sleep Apnea: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Telemedicine
If you snore loudly and often wake up still feeling tired, there’s a chance you may have sleep apnea. This disorder is characterized by waking up multiple times in the night because your breathing has temporarily stopped. While it is usually not fatal, it can cause significant decrease in your quality of life as well as raise your risk of developing further health problems in the future.
Dr. Clancy has helped to diagnose and treat many patients suffering from sleep apnea. He offers the MicrO2 device, which is an oral device used while sleeping that is custom-fit for maximum comfort and effectiveness. It holds your jaw and tongue in place so that your soft tissues don’t collapse and cause blockage.
Dr. Clancy has also embraced telemedicine technology in order to provide you with the most convenient experience. Through telemedicine, you don’t need to make multiple trips out to Dr. Clancy’s office throughout your diagnosis, treatment, and follow-ups. Instead, Dr. Clancy can help you from the comfort of your own home or office.
Dr. Clancy strongly believes in taking advantage of the latest technology breakthroughs in order to provide patients with the best, most effective, and most convenient solutions.

I have been in the dental field for almost 20 years. Out of those years, I have been a hygienist at Dr. Clancy’s for 15 years, after acting as a dental assistant for 4 years. I have enjoyed treating my patients, getting to know them and forming wonderful relationships over the years.
I am a mom of two active girls, Mia (7) and Abigail (5). They love trips to Disney World, playing the piano, and gymnastics. They are always keeping me and my husband Jim on our toes and constantly laughing.
I love being a part of Dr. Clancy’s team and learning new and advanced techniques to better treat patients with my wonderful co-workers.
